Can't go wrong with an optical drive, you never can.

from completed build Storm Stryker Gaming Build

It may not be a 5-star drive with all the bells and whistles, but its a simple, inexpensive drive that does its job. Seems to run fast and was simple to install.

from completed build Operation : Recovery

Amazing, fast, cheap.

Great optical drive, easy and quick to setup and install.

from completed build Meisterst├╝ck 980

Does anyone really care about these nowadays? This optical drive by ASUS is competitively priced. It's build quality seems to be very sturdy and I was able to install all my drivers that were on the CD's without a problem. Good.

from completed build Artech Storm: Challenger

Not much to say about this, really. It replaced a Lite-On drive that I thought had died, is pretty quiet, and seems to be reasonably fast. Recommended for a basic DVD drive.

from completed build The Screamer Mk-1

This is a great optical drive that burns and reads DVDs and CDs really quickly. It does an even better job with those than the Blu-ray drive does.

from completed build First Build (aka Broseph Stalin)

Just the standard cheap CD/DVD reader/writer. There when I need it.

Good optical drive, there was a problem where it would not run a disk, but I think that is other software/driver problems.

from completed build Gaming PC

it read DVD. Incredible, isn't it?
