Description
  • i5 is delidded and OC'd to 4.6 on all cores
  • Ergotron LX Monitor Arms
  • Desk is IKEA Galant (Corner Right), with IKEA Lack Shelf on Capita 8" Legs and IKEA Dioder Multicolor LED Strips for lighting
  • Corsair H100 and GTX 780 on it's way
  • Monitors will be replaced soon

Funny thing happened with the H440. I had everything plugged in and powered it on, one of the fans wasn't spinning. Pulled out my mutimeter to test the case fan hub, it was fine. Long story short, one of the HDD rubber grommets came off in the packaging, stuck to the inside of the fan blade, and caused it not to spin. All works now. Great case! Love the cable management!

Comments and Suggestions welcome.

mastermind_build [Submitter] [1 Build] 4 points 11 months ago

It is an IKEA Galant Corner Right with an extension. The shelf is an IKEA Lack with 8" Capita Legs. The smaller shelf is the IKEA Galant Shelf.

mastermind_build [Submitter] [1 Build] 4 points 11 months ago

You should see quite a few soon. I pre-ordered from NewEgg and got it today.

TheTekJake [1 Build] 3 points 11 months ago

Ahhh no wonder. I am glad though. I am debating on this case. Pretty sexy if you ask me.

mastermind_build [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 11 months ago

Get it. ;)

Freaking sexy.

EnvaderZiim 1 point 11 months ago

Aww lucky, when I pre-ordered mine they were out of stock (red and black one). Not knowing when they will be back in stock I canceled the order and went with something different :(

Your cable management and a great build = +1

Very nice! love the whole setup? Why with the choice of wireless? Great choice in CPU cooler (I use the same and its AWESOME. Overall awesome build. 1 vote from me.

mastermind_build [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 11 months ago

Everything is wired, even the mouse. The mouse is capable of being wireless, but I leave the cord plugged in while I use it. Same with my headphones, unless I'm moving around. LAN is wired too, running to other things throughout the house via CAT 6.

Riconnis 2 points 11 months ago

Awesome. I was skeptical on getting an NZXT case its reassuring to hear you like it

atomicruns [2 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Nice build! +1 from me. Make sure to update pics when you get your 780 and H100 in there. It's going to look even better!

polarbehr [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

nice build

although i may be in the minority one this one, i dont care for the case. the lack of 5.25 bays kills it for me

kenh536 [2 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Same here, you're not alone.

Sweet build!

Can you post temps? I love the plate above the PSU but I am wondering if I got that case and used water cooling and the radiator replaces the rear or top case fan would it still have some airflow?

ITneto 1 point 11 months ago

Doesn't the 660 botleneck your cpu?

Grazzert [2 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

per his description he is replacing it with a 780

scorza 1 point 11 months ago

Unnnfff I've been LUSTING for that case, seriously considering redoing my entire (WIP) build for the white h440.

And the whole setup looks so clean and work-conducive!

Ceror 1 point 11 months ago

How is H440 for intake in the front? I might go with it for a build in the future.

Nice job with everything by the way! Really nice set up.

tjb423 [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

What do you mean when you say the i5 is delidded? Great build +1

DuffmanDuffs [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Pretty sure he means it's unlocked. Like a delidded jar? I guess idk lol.

MrWhiteMacaroon [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

a delidded processor means taking the copper metal on the top off and clean the thermal paste off of it, and put your own thermal paste for better temps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ppql7sTmQIc

DuffmanDuffs [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Oh, thanks for the information.

tjb423 [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Well, wasn't sure what you meant lol. Since it's a K series I would have known unlocked :P

timboroks [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

where di you buy your desk?

questmaster360 [2 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Nice build. I really like your desk though. Where did you get it?

maxbailey [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

I've got my NZXT H440 shipping to me right now :) I've been waiting for about a month xD (Pre-order). I got the black and red version.

Vicken116 1 point 10 months ago

+1 nothing to say except AWESOME!

FlusherBox 1 point 9 months ago

H440 is so slick I want to move my current build into it

you741 1 point 4 months ago

Does the cooler come with thermal compound or do you have to apply it yourself? I am a novice and would prefer to not have to do it myself.

jvagle875 0 points 11 months ago

Nice build. You should pick up a sound card or something to fill that extra space though xD

Hakumisoso [2 Builds] 0 points 11 months ago

GG. wait for your chip to die. That thermal compound is a bad idea, especially on a delidded cpu. After a year or so, it will set and temperatures will skyrocket. Good luck taking it off without ripping the die off the cpu.

mastermind_build [Submitter] [1 Build] 0 points 11 months ago

And I'll buy a new one. I know the risk, and am familiar with voiding warranties, but thanks.

Hakumisoso [2 Builds] 0 points 11 months ago

If you have that kind of money. Lucky you if so.

desync408 [1 Build] -1 points 11 months ago

Does the door come with the desk?! Nice monitors too
