Description

Built for gaming and other general uses.

CPU: Originally i had the fx 6300 as the CPU but i figured for $20 dollars less the 4130 wasn't a bad option. We may go back to microcenter and exchange it though.

CPU Cooler: The computer is for my girlfriend and she wont be doing any overclocking so it wasn't necessary.

Motherboard: The motherboard was free with the CPU from microcenter.

Ram: I had 16gb of ram in my pc so i just took 2x4gb sticks out and put it in her pc.

Storage: Found the HDD on Craigslist for pretty cheap.

Case: Good, Cheap, Cable Manageability isn't bad either.

Power Supply: Good, Cheap, Reliable.

Graphics Card: Good performance for the price.

I was going to take pictures of me putting it together but i was too excited about building another computer and ended up remembering after i already finished...

Total Price after taxes minus mail in rebates was about $330 dollars.

This is how memory's are made of :)

bgiunt4 12 points 19 months ago

sadly, these memories are only temporary, should have shared a hard drive. kidding, nice job!

And they said 16gb of ram was a bad idea ....lol

Nice build +1 . Update what you decide to do with the cpu :D

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Yeah, will do!

this is the perfect build for light gaming. I built practically the same thing for my girl friend too. she pretty much exclusively plays sims 3 and tell tales games and the 7770 maxes those out on ultra with ease.

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 5 points 19 months ago

Yeah it's not really going to be used for a lot of super heavy gaming. Mostly stuff like LOL, swtor, minecraft.. etc etc. I mean even if she wants to get into heavier gaming i know she wont mind playing at medium settings. I just wanted to build her something nicer than her POS 6 year old laptop that she's been using to play games on haha

Marcus_CA 3 points 19 months ago

I hear you on that..

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thank you!

Thats adorable... If i had a girlfriend like that at night when we were playing or just browsing the web. I would look over my screen and just stair at her why she played.. ahah or just setup a camera and recorded all of here rages. Or something like that.. Nice rig though!! Cheap and reliable i like it!

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Yeah we occasionally peek over at each other haha, thank you!

I just put together a build with this case and cheap is right, using it for a server build was a poor decision on my part.

oh well clean build there fella.

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Honestly, i like it more than my cooler master 912.

Great build! I always hear a lot of people talking about MicroCenter. I really wish I had one where I live. I'm tired of waiting for the slow UPS man to bring my parts to my door! Anyway, just throwin that out there...

lrosiak 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

microcenter is incredible. i hope (and have been doing my part to ensure!) they remain profitable against the online retailers because if anyone deserves it, they do. their prices and selection are pretty much the same as newegg, and it's way more fun to be there in person figuring out what you want.

cyanghost109 7 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Yup, I hear ya! Though, I would get jealous seeing all of the expensive stuff right there in front of me. That's why I can't go in to Best Buy without feeling a small bit of jealousy lol... That smell reminds me of a brand new computer. :)

Silveretta21 2 points 19 months ago

That whole set up sitting opposite each other and everything... actually adorable!

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Yeah i can't believe we actually had room for it in my bedroom. It's pretty awesome though.

MasterOfPC 2 points 4 months ago

That's a awesome teddy bear :)

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Your welcome! :)

You got the parts at amazing low prices, congrats to you and your gf for a pc that was built for a song.

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks a lot. I spent awhile picking out the perfect parts and looking for deals so it means a lot. Now if only i had spent just as much time on my first build :P

swagnuggets123 1 point 19 months ago

Nice +1

mickey736 1 point 19 months ago

Awesome Build. +1 for you for having a gf that plays on pc. Also how good is the 7770 my friend wants to use it for a build soon.

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Well it was put together yesterday and she hasn't had too much time to play on it yet, ill update in a few days.

twaelbroeck 1 point 17 months ago

Awesome budget build!

Jamerson23 1 point 13 months ago

TEDDY BEAR!!! :D

N0VAxForgotten 1 point 1 month ago

Wait wait wait wait wait wait... When did you build this

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Hmmm, about a year or a year and a half ago. Upgraded to graphics card to a gtx 960 recently tho.

MrMOABy 1 Build -8 points 19 months ago

I would change to the 6300 or something in the x3xx series. I have heard bad things about the x1xx series.

Bakrit662 submitter 1 Build 3 points 19 months ago

Like what? like i said, i think we may go back to microcenter to exchange the 4130 for the 6300.

MrMOABy 1 Build 0 points 19 months ago

I can't exactly remember but it deals with it being Zambezi and Vishera is a lot better than Zambezi if it's only 20 bucks different I would get the 6300 because you got more cores and vishera.
