Description

This started out as a $1,500 first custom build to replace consoles lol. Took me 3 months to get it exactly how I want it.

I had it all smashed in a define r4 which was pretty but not at all maintenance friendly...as far as fans go I've kinda been testing a few to see what works for me and so far I like the 140mm akasa apache black fans the most.

I've also gotten rid of the 4th monitor and only use the 3 in surround and the 3dtv on the wall...I thought web browsing would suck in surround because of other peoples experiences but I absolutely love it...and I also love the windows 8 start screen in surround..

This has been updated a few times...last time was 04/14/14

This is what computer dreams are made of. :)

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

Thanks for the awesome comments

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Added 3 monitors and a 3dtv...new desk...also moved the h100i to the front in a push/pull configuration...as soon as my dvi to display port adaptor comes I'll have the 2560x1440 27 inch for non surround gaming and web browsing, the 3 1080p 23 inch monitors as surround and the 3dtv for movies.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

I ordered everything to do a proper full custom loop...I'll post more pics when its installed.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

Just ordered 100ft of white 1/8 braided wire cover to sleeve everything with.

masterlaggs -7 points 15 months ago

Where do you get this money?

streetsports submitter 1 Build 9 points 15 months ago

I parted out my old pc for about $1,000 of it plus I don't party, drink or do drugs. I just work and save for my hobbies. Gotta keep the brain busy. the woman and I also have decent jobs (nothing special but 2 incomes helps a lot)

masterlaggs -1 points 15 months ago

Great! This is super overkill, and my mom still trying to get an ultra-book.... w0w

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

Haha yah I've messed up the dining room, bedroom and even a bathroom while doing this build...multiple times...the woman hates me...what would you like more pics of? Taking pics on an iPad but I can try for some close ups...just tell me where to snap them.

ib10xs4u2 2 points 15 months ago

Ka-ching, ka-ching goes the cash register. Maybe money doesn't buy everything but those three monitors alone look pretty sharp. Color me impressed. If I had a set up like this my next move would be to include some serious loudspeakers and a special room for it all. Kind of like a home theater but also for gaming.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

+1 I see 7.1 surround in the near(hopefully) future...the room for it all has a 12 foot trampoline taking it up but that's going outside soon...my dream is a concrete basement for a true home theater.

daaamn

r101710 2 points 12 months ago

i saw this and was like, holy fuq

NewCarSmell 2 points 11 months ago

wow great build. I wish i had that money. so how is the watercooling im planing on watercooling

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

I love it...I added a few pics showing temps...cold and nearly silent.

NewCarSmell 1 point 11 months ago

true. i wish i had that money. Lol did you get into debt over this.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

no...but I thought about it lol...could have easily spent a lot more...but I did get the "itch" and spend way more than I had originally planned...4 times 2 much like a crazy man.

NewCarSmell 1 point 11 months ago

lol. Man is the corsair 900d ugly. Also did you get some uv lights to light up the coolant. Also a Nzxt hue could hep aswell

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

To each his own I guess...it is one of the highest rated cases and for the price I'm not sure that any other case holds as much...I actually ended up getting rid of all lighting...it was cool at first but became annoying at night...I'm also just running distilled water with some anticorrosion treatment and silver.

MellowC 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

high five +1

MyNameIsDan 1 point 16 months ago

Datsag! Looks great! And that cable management doe. +1

Vainslay 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

hmm, not bad.

damn :)

houseoftyrone 1 point 16 months ago

Very Nice... Very premium, but for this price I would include some different fans.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I hear ya on the fans...my plan is noctuas everywhere eventually...I'm still learning what to buy and what not to buy...this was my 1st build but thanks to this site it was extremely simple....one question though. How are other people scoring so high on here/3d mark 11?

Saeed1 1 point 16 months ago

Processor, 4960x is great for 3D. however, u will need good gpu's also

Akut 1 Build 3 points 16 months ago

Dude... Dual 780Ti in SLI... He has that covered.

Saeed1 2 points 16 months ago

My bad.

lucky74dog 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

What GPUs did you think he had?

Saeed1 1 point 15 months ago

no clue, i was probably half asleep reading lol

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Starting to manual over clock the CPU now...scores are going up.

Retroman 1 point 16 months ago

wait for the new black noctua fans, they are gonna be soooooooooo awesome!

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Have you heard when they will be released?

Retroman 1 point 14 months ago

Nobody knows for certain yet. They showcased them at CES 2014 I believe but they were just prototypes. This is just a wild guess but 4th Quarter 2014, maybe in time for Xmas, but thats purely speculation on my part.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 14 months ago

I can't wait...the look of noctuas is the only thing holding them back.

RealmOfVenom 1 point 16 months ago

nice Cable management. I don't know what else to say.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Updated

Wagzy 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

That tv on the wall is a good idea if you have friends or brothers/sister who want to watch you play games etc.

+1 for the idea! :)

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I updated it with new pics...water loop completed finally.

JailBreak 5 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

impressive. Messy room, but im not here to judge the room am I? lol. +1

ThePCguy2013 1 point 15 months ago

More pictures please +1

lucky74dog 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Awesome build! I love to see water cooled builds on here! But, why do you have the clear tubing, with water in your loop? It'd look much nicer with a colored coolant. Also, I think this would of looked better in the new NZXT H440.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I'm using UV blue coolant. I have no idea why it seems so transparent. I'm a mandrel bender by trade and am planning a solid copper setup in the future though. This is my first build so I've kinda been stumbling through it. One huge learning experience. And yah the h440 is sexy. When I chose the r4 I was planning for a single card non water cooler build...I'll eventually get a full tower corsair.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Added more pics as requested.

Resa69 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Dude how the hell did you get your 780 ti's to 1430mhz????

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

A hefty oc plus GPU boost...best way to see what you're really pushing is to run unigen valley.

[comment deleted]
streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I got it even higher now, and a huge oc on the memory...still doesn't break 46c...I posted a picture of the boost clock and memory clock in unigine...I also changed the stat on this page...I hadn't noticed that it said core clock...so its 1131mhz on the core clock and 1458 on the boost clock...I'm used to CPU jargon where nobody cares to talk about the core clock.

Resa69 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Holy f*** you have won the silicon lottery twice. That is unbelievable power man well done on the build.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

I have them overvolted also...75mv...I have the CPU sitting at 1.37...I would never do this without awesome cooling.

TheUnknownPC 1 point 15 months ago

Nice +1

ABJ117 1 point 15 months ago

More like "got money?"

IcarusFTW 1 point 15 months ago

This is a nice build. For the multi-screen setup, the R9 290X might have been a better investment. This is more expensive than anything I ever built, and the amount of time and effort you put into this amazes me. +1

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

You are right about the 290x...I didn't go with them because of the bad noise reviews...little did I know I would be removing the fans anyway...just one of many fails I made along the way lol.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

So I've found that I suck at sleeving lol...sleeved 3 fans and somehow killed one...I think I'll just buy a predone set for the PSU and call it good...I'm not sure which color I should choose though...I would say blue but I actually plan to get rid of all the blue eventually...I think it will end up as a white/black/copper build. So those are my 3 choices.

ms15710 1 point 15 months ago

How is the Corsair PSU treating you? I'm thinking of getting a similar build and I need a good review from someone like you. Especially because your setup is awesome.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

It works great...I honestly don't think the fan has need to even turn on yet...which brings me to the only single con...it gets warm and with the silent operation of this PSU it means that 90% of that heat is radiated into the case.

ms15710 1 point 15 months ago

Okay great, because I've been looking into buying it, but seems like a hit-miss whenever I see the reviews. Either it works great or it's awful, DOA, or it fails a few months in. I was thinking about this or the AX860 for SLI 780ti. Would that be pushing the limit on the PSU?

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I personally don't think so unless you're going for insane over clocks or have a crap ton of accessories running. I'm near 100% positive my fan hasn't had to kick in and its set to kick in after 40% load. There are some YouTube videos showing how little systems pull in real world testing.

ms15710 1 point 15 months ago

Thank you so much. I've been having such a debate about this.

TheBlueGammer24 1 point 15 months ago

you should try a 3 monitor setup with 4k you know just drop another 4k (ha i didt even mean to do that) on monitors

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I honestly don't think sli 780 ti's would push them...at least not above 30fps...that would be an sli titan build or at the very least xfire 290x's...evga is planning for 6gb 780 and 780ti's though...even offering a trade up program if you've bought a 3gb version within the last 90 days and registered it within the first 14 days of ownership.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I'm changing this again...purchased a 900d to put it all in...also I may add vrm/MOSFETs and ram coolers...I'm also going to get rid of the blue and go all black/white/copper with clear tube and water.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Updated again...fresh pics up top...big update this time

brokegamer 1 point 15 months ago

Noo wheres you're r4 gone to and you deleted the pics with it. i was getting some ideas from your build with the r4 with top and front rad sizes to put into mine and the res you had fit perfect. Must see these pics back :'( Made this account just to send this message

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Sorry...I'll post them back up

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

Reposted

brokegamer 1 point 15 months ago

Thanks man, was any modding involved in getting those rads fitted with that size res?

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

That's a 250mm res sitting on a koolance top coupled to a mcp655...to get the top front 60mm 140 size rad in I had to remove the 5.25 bay and add vent holes in the top for it. The other rad sizes are in the original post.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

250mm x 50mm (most reservoirs are 60mm or larger in diameter)

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Updated again...everything is sleeved now.

britt.bc 1 point 14 months ago

What's the tv in the first picture? Awesome build btw :)

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Its a Sceptre E425BV-FHDD 42-Inch 3D 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black)...it cost me $400 and works great.

drobin02 1 point 13 months ago

Is this your first build

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Yes sir...I always bought prebuilt ones that were overpriced...every time I bought one I would step it up a knotch but for what I ended up with this time it would have cost a fortune for a prebuilt.

aaronrus 1 point 12 months ago

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I see you have 3 monitors, I want to do the same thing as you, on my build I have 2 GTX 780 Ti's same as you. My question is do you plug 2 monitors into one GPU and the 3rd into the other GPU or is it something else? thanks,

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Yes...2 into 1 and 1 into the other...that's the best way but there are other options if you use a dvi to display port adaptor.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

O I also set the card that only has one monitor as the card that also handles the physics.

aaronrus 1 point 12 months ago

Ok! Thank you!

the_masater_jt 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

How are the dell monitors, just wondering because i want them. Nice pc too by the way.

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Love them...the picture was identical between them straight out of the box...zero backlight bleed and no dead pixels...not to mention the tiny bezels...my single complaint is that the plugs on the back could have been made more accessible.

the_masater_jt 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

Sounds great, thanks you!

CasaNOVA_Fly 1 point 11 months ago

no aftermarket fans...?

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Almost all of them are aftermarket...the ones that came with it have no rings

CasaNOVA_Fly 2 points 11 months ago

Ah, okay. That makes MUCH more sense then no fans...

Rycc 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I'm curious, is there any reason for not having any Noctua fans?

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Price is part of it but looks is most of it...I'm holding out for the black ones to be released.

Kannoss 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

"Yeah, my ram was is so hot better custom water cool it"

Seems Legit. +1

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

Update...using the x11 algorithm I'm able to mine litecoins at 10,000 khash/s - 13,000 khash/s...scrypt only gives 1,200 khash/s

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

If you do any mining beware that the new x11 algorithm changes the nvidia driver...makes it artifact during gaming so I had to delete and reinstall the driver...crappy

thatwhitedude059 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

i would invest in some new curtains :D jk! really nice build... makes me a little jelly. but im sure there is some other reason than for games that you have this... right... or you just have this for games... cause then im really jelly...

700mAdOg700 1 point 8 months ago

Where did you get that background? Me gusta...

streetsports submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Can't remember...I just searched the resolution + "desktop background" on google then clicked images.

RogyAcnodnem 1 point 7 months ago

only in my dreams have I ever seen these, but alas they are real! good job on the build you got yourself a pristine rig there

darkflowrider 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

So muuuchhh moniiiii!! still +1
