This is a very good build and I don't say that about every build I see. The parts you have chosen are good quality and prices seem to be rather good. It also happens to be visually pleasing. Well done!

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 4 points 9 months ago

Thank you, I appreciate it! I got the whole rig for around 1250 w/out tax

You saw the imgur album right? But yeah, I'll add some when I get the time to take it outdoor.

For that price, there are some good parts in this build. +1 from me.

Firecrackers [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

That looks so clean in the front! Very well balanced and love the 780 +1.

Lexar992 1 point 9 months ago

Was the cable management easy in that case?

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

Yes, very easy. If you're a first time builder, I highly recommend this case.

Lexar992 1 point 9 months ago

Im thinking on buying one and switching my parts into it

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

PickItApart 1 point 9 months ago

Does having a PSU on its side cause any weird acoustics?

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

Nope, it's very silent

ImElkay [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Does anybody know if there is an expected time for the 800 series from Nvidia to release?

RyneSmith [7 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

Very nice! I love me some red/black :)

Welcome to the Air 540 club!

SrgtMacfly [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

EVGA make things so nice

WTFsteven [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

Brother, welcome to the Air 540 club. Beautiful build. The hardest part about this case is not looking at it every 10 minutes. It doesn't get easier but it's a sacrifice we're all willing to make lol

lucky74dog [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Does anyone even need a modular PSU in an air 540? You could just shove all the cables in the back!

changerrs 1 point 9 months ago

how do you feel about the bar hanging off that PSU?

I was interested in this psu until i saw that nasty handle bar hanging out of the case. (and great price for this psu on newegg )

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

It actually looks cool imo. It adds a rugged look to the overall build.

Crying_Reaper [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Damn I wish I would have known about that case and had the space for it when I built mine. lol I just love the idea of having stuff over there and cool stuff over here.

Fonnz 1 point 9 months ago

Awesome definitely better then my build, except for the gpu.

Tyl3r 1 point 9 months ago

Good quality build and nice aesthetics. You've got a pretty solid OC too, looks like the h100i is doing it's job.

Skeptique 1 point 8 months ago

I love that sexy little pop of red on an otherwise black and silver setup... Really gorgeous and subtle...

maxsandoval17 1 point 8 months ago

Very awesome build, I love how your parts just match, it makes your build look very sheek!

Maroon 1 point 8 months ago

Are you ever going to upgrade your CPU to like a Core i7 4770K?

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 8 months ago

Probably not, since most games are not utilizing hyperthreading ATM.

Maroon 1 point 8 months ago

So this PC is just for pure gaming? No editing, streaming, rendering, etc.? I'm just a curious builder... :)

jlakersman [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

Yes just pure gaming, well it is used with streaming sometimes but with Nvidia Shadowplay to Twitch you don't need a faster CPU than an i5-4670k. If you're really curious here's my build for editing and rendering using Adobe programs. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/G5A

Retroman 1 point 6 months ago

absolutely the best build I've seen on here in a while for a price that wouldn't bankrupt the average 9 to 5'er. +1 from a fellow Canadian.
