Description

//photos might not be in order. pcppartpicker just randomizes them for some reason

two weeks ago i decided to disassemble my 900D waterloop, here's a picture for those who did not see it before http://i.imgur.com/Fgl7nun.jpg

watercooling was a nice adventure, but it doesn't seem to be my cup of tea and i don't plan on repeating it any time soon

pretty happy with the h440 and my current rig so far

obviously i used most of the hardware i had in my previous build, however i sold one of the two 780s to a friend of mine

some of you might scratch their heads at this point as my H440 only houses one (!) SSD i'm not 100% sure about this upgrade yet, but i might throw two 256GB 840 Pros in Raid0 in there to fill those two sexy but unused slots on the PSU cover

if you think there's not enough storage space in there, don't worry about that, got me a NAS with two 3TB WD Red drives a couple months ago

the 105 was a bit of a tight fit, but it certainly is possible with the GD65

//update: 7th of May

added two 120GB Samsung 840 Evo's in Raid0 and removed the green paint on the 780 cooler

If only you could make the "Geforce GTX" logo red...

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 2 points 5 months ago

not sure if it's doable. i took a closer look at the cooler but it doesn't seem to be an easy mod

skemble [17 Builds] 8 points 5 months ago

I saw a guy who used light sandpaper to remove the green "film" that is over the LED to make it white.

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 2 points 5 months ago

can you link that? because the logo itself is green, not just the LED behind it. pretty sure the LED is actually white

done!

xx116xx [3 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

With that you might be able to cover it with red...

peterb [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

I was just about to say that ;)

1star2014 [1 Build] 1 point 4 months ago

you could. All you would have to do is paint it red.

skemble [17 Builds] 3 points 5 months ago

Extremely clean and elegant. I love it!!

Kriston_S@101 2 points 5 months ago

Dat is one sexy build, damn

yorkibar 2 points 5 months ago

Very Sexy. One of my fav cases. Nice one

nada190 [3 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

I think that rear exhaust wants to be red too.

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

i actually have an af140 qe left from my previous build. i wanted to put it in when i switched cases but the wire is zipped down so tight it would not be worth the effort to do lol but i don't mind the black fan in the back. running at 7v it's pretty quiet and an all black fan doesn't look bad either

ellirocker24 [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

Nice build, I have a question. Did you try to mount the SSD in the front mounting tray where it's visible from the window?

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

as said in the description, will probably put two new ones in Raid0 there

salgio [5 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

love that case , great choice on the parts

Hakumisoso [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

It seems you have a msi mobo and a 4.2 ghz overclock. It is likely you are using oc genie, which uses voltages that are unnecessarily high. You could probably bump up the clock speed and get the same temps stable if you didn't use oc genie.

i don't. running 4.2GHz at 1.15v. from my previous watercooling build i know that my chip can do 4.5 at 1.275v but with the h105 i'm good at 4.2

Streyken [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

Man, that's pretty. Love that case.

juheebus [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

Nice build but I'm curious to why you didn't like your loop. Was it a pain to maintain? I have an h105 and want to build a custom loop.

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

it's just not my cup of tea. many people like it. i think it's just not worth the effort you put into building & draining the loop give it a shot though, i don't regret doing it

mugsy010 [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

Very Nice. I went with the white H440 but think they both look great.

great build of yours. love your whole setup. looks a bit like you'd be from /g/

AlexVsGaming 1 point 5 months ago

What Red Cables did you use

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

it's corsairs cable kit

AlexVsGaming 1 point 5 months ago

Thanks

impulse2010 [2 Builds] 1 point 4 months ago

very nice.

wilsonik 1 point 4 months ago

That's great looking build. The 2 Corsairs SP120s that you've used with Corsair h105. Were they PWM version 4 pin fans?

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 4 months ago

nope, standard 3pin version. quiet edition though

wilsonik 1 point 4 months ago

Thanks. I've got the same case and will be getting h105 but I was going to go with SP120 PWM performance edition fans and control them through Motherboard.

jimbo118 [1 Build] 1 point 4 months ago

WHAT A SEEEEXAY LOOKING MACHINE!!!!

Igorzchannel 1 point 3 months ago

red is my fav color , nice build :) ill use the same motherboard for my 1000$ build , i know is weird for that price but at least ill no have to change it for a lot of time ... +1

TheMatthewBe 1 point 3 months ago

You should add a nice backplate to that 780. :)

apexgamerx 1 point 2 months ago

How does this build run? like can it run all games at max settings with 60+ fps?

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 2 months ago

well, it's a 780. just look for 780 benchmark and you will see the numbers

XperiaHD 1 point 2 months ago

Very nice setup indeed, but i must ask you sir, where can i purchase a desk like that, which is nice and flat and has enough space for 2-3 monitors as well as having the PC on the desk. Would be great if you can leave a link or two. Thanks!

Cru3L139 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 2 months ago

no idea. i've had this desk since i was like 6

the PC itself is not actually on the desk, just on a little thing next to it

TechAndry98 1 point 4 days ago
